Towa Parts Towa Machine
Towa Secondary Operation Machines offer durability combined with hi-speed precision performance

Towa utilizes two tool slides; one tool slide is located in the front and one tool slide is located in the rear. This allows the operator to make more than one processing of the part in one pass.

This design provides flexibility and versatility and eliminates the need for running the parts through twice or moving to another machine. Each tool head or holder can mount two cutting tools. In addition, our front tool slide has the ability for traverse cutting movement.

Towa's system of speed controlled spindle and cam shaft allows the operator to achieve greater control over the range of RPMs of the main spindle and also the pieces per minute production rates.

Models types include: Collect type for gripping the shaft of fasteners and for machining the head; and the 3 jaw type for gripping over the head for machining the shaft of a fastener. Drilling units and drilling/tapping units are optional accessories on both type machines. Dedicated drilling and tapping machines are available upon special request.

Towa machines are mainly used in the fastener industry. It is easily accepted into most plants because it is more mechanical that computer controlled. Towa can be

Our Secondary Operation Machines weigh in at over 3,000lbs and are constructed with a solid cast base which is superior to a welded machine frame. Our design eliminates vibration and provides the required, rugged durability in second operation cutting. In addition, every cam on our machine is constructed of steel and induction heat treated. Our design also includes every cam shaft rotating on precision bearings for optimum accuracy and long life.

The design of our covers not only places safety first, but is user- friendly for the operator. The design allows for easy accessibility to all areas of the machine. If the sliding doors are open, the machine will not run in the auto position, but will allow the tool movement on the machine to jog. If the sliding doors are open the spindle will not turn.

We designed our machine to achieve a right to left single point turn. The ability to traverse such long distances helps more parts achieve one pass processing (i.e.: travel only one time through the machine).

This system picks up the part from the feed rails and turns it around to insert the opposite end of the part into the jaws or collet without having to reposition the hopper, feed rails, or unloader. This system allows the operator to process either end of the part or both with multiple passes.

This system allows the operator to achieve greater control over the range of RPMs of the main spindle and also the pieces per minute production rates. It's simply adjusted via easy access to a knob on the control panel. Our main drive motor for driving the spindle is a heavy duty three horsepower motor. This motor's controlled by a Mitsubishi inverter system with indefinitely variable speed adjustment, allowing complete control over the range of RPMs of the main spindle. We also employ a Mitsubishi inverter system for cam movement, allowing complete control over the range of RPMs of the cams.

Our unique cam operated chip separator features a timeable flap that remains in the closed position which directs all cutting scrap away from the work area and directs the finished part into the chute.
